Kevin Doyle

Kevin Doyle is currently the Director of Corporate Strategy for TMX Group, the 7th  largest exchange group in the world and owner of Canada’s four major exchanges. Mr. Doyle has been responsible for development and refinement of TMX Group’s Corporate Strategy and strategic planning process in close cooperation with senior executives and the Board since 2002.

Mr. Doyle also leads annual development of individual business strategies for TSX Group’s seven major business lines (Listings, Equity Trading, Derivatives Trading, Energy Trading, Fixed Income Trading, Data, and Information Technology). This includes building rationale for pursuing major M&A targets, most recently for the Bourse de Montréal, as well as the corporate development and integration efforts that follow. Mr. Doyle leads the integration team now that the $1B acquisition of the Bourse de Montréal is complete.

Prior to joining TSX Group, Mr. Doyle worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in the Toronto and New York offices from 1999 to 2002. During this time he completed numerous client engagements, including: development of Rothschild’s asset management entry strategy for the US market; analysis and redesign of Barrick Gold’s project management approach for the world’s largest gold and silver mine; identification and selection of site alternatives for St. Lawrence Cement’s proposed multi-billion cement plant; and development of Ontario Power Generation’s (OPG’s) growth and asset strategies, including benchmarking of costs and performance of power generating assets.

Mr. Doyle previously spent eight years working for the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Asia, principally in the position of Manager, Business Development, Asia Pacific, based out of Tokyo and then later Hong Kong. He managed a regional team to develop country-specific sales and marketing plans in eleven countries across six sectors. As part of a five-person transnational team, Mr. Doyle helped design, sell and implement a $50M outsourcing solution for a major Asian retailer, earning the team the front cover of EDS’ 1996 annual report. Additionally, he managed start-up of a joint venture in Thailand, which included drafting business development processes and strategic plans, supervising preparation of technical and office facilities, and recruiting 50 employees.

Mr. Doyle holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the Sauder School of Business at UBC and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Toronto with his wife Michelle and three children.
